Leading the way in UK telecommunications

Virgin Media O2 combines the UK’s largest and most reliable mobile network with a fully gigabit broadband network, where customers benefit from average speeds 5x faster than the national average. O2 is a leading telecommunications company and the largest mobile network operator based in the UK. They have won a string of awards, most notably in 2023 the award for the most popular mobile network - which is why we featured in O2 in our Top 10 Leading Global Telecommunication Operators. The company has a large UK presence and has consistently been ranked among the top mobile network operators in terms of customer satisfaction. It has also expanded its services internationally, including Ireland, Germany, and Spain. In 2021, it was merged with Virgin Media to create Virgin Media O2.

Global professional services company Accenture, meanwhile, helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organisations to strengthen their digital core and advance their revenue growth. We chose it for the second spot in our Top 10 IT & OT Companies

Elevating business solutions through mobile private networks

Building on Virgin Media O2’s established expertise in deploying mobile private networks, Jo Bertram, Managing Director of Business and Wholesale at Virgin Media O2, said that this new partnership with Accenture leverages their industry-specific knowledge and proven digital platform and solutions, to help broaden Virgin Media O2’s offering to businesses.

“From facilitating safe communication on construction sites to powering critical devices in hospitals, businesses across a range of sectors will have access to a one-stop shop of innovative, adaptive and secure mobile private network solutions,” Jo says.

“Enterprises need to reinvent their networks to become agile and competitive, and it starts with access to reliable and secure mobile connectivity,” added Andy Tay, Global Lead at Accenture Cloud First. “This enables companies to build a strong digital core that uses the power of cloud, data, AI and other technologies alongside new ways of working – ultimately helping them to optimise operations, drive growth, and reach new levels of performance.”
