Wipro AI Solution Transforming Nokia’s Digital Workplace

Wipro will build a bespoke AI-powered, cloud-based solution to enhance the employee experience for Nokia’s global workforce of over 86,000 employees

Global IT services and consulting leader Wipro has secured a major multi-million dollar deal with Nokia to transform the telecom giant’s digital workplace services.

As part of the deal, Wipro will build a bespoke AI-powered, cloud-based solution to enhance the employee experience for Nokia’s global workforce of over 86,000 employees across 130 countries, aimed at creating an omnichannel, always-on global service desk that provides highly available, modular, secure and automated services. By leveraging the power of AI and cloud computing, Wipro will deliver seamless, real-time IT support to Nokia employees, empowering them to thrive in a hybrid work environment.

“Generative AI is rapidly becoming a critical component of Digital Workplace services,” said Vinay Firake, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Nordics at Wipro Limited. “We are proud to collaborate with Nokia on building an IT support solution that will significantly improve the employee experience. Our technology cloud-based expertise, combined with our design-led approach, will provide Nokia employees with highly personalised support, allowing them to better leverage technology and deliver greater value to their customers.”

Wipro and Nokia transforming the future workplace

The project will also involve Designit, a Wipro company specialising in user experience strategy and implementation. Designit will conduct extensive user research to ensure that personalised assistance is offered to employees at the right time, creating a truly user-centric solution.

As the workforce becomes increasingly distributed and hybrid work becomes the norm, companies are recognising the need to invest in digital workplace solutions that enhance employee productivity, collaboration and job satisfaction. Office layouts have been shaken up, with increased focus hot desks and more mobile working, which has resulted in a shift away from traditional IT environments.

Wipro’s AI-powered solution for Nokia represents a significant step forward in the move to a hybrid workplace, setting a new benchmark for intelligent, user-friendly and future-ready digital workplace services.

Marije van Donk, Vice President, Head of User Experience at Nokia, highlights the company’s commitment to elevating and securing user experiences with its IT services. “A key pillar is a modernised remote support concept that uses the latest technologies to provide seamless, secure, and efficient support, regardless of location, device, or network. Implementing this concept will empower our users to self-service their issues, give intelligent and contextual guidance, and connect users with experts.”
