Vodafone’s Refurbished Phones & Glastonbury Festival App
Many consumers are choosing to make sustainable choices - from what they eat to how they commute to which bank they save with. Research shows that choosing a refurbished phone over a new one can slash approximately 50 kg CO2e over two years, compared to purchasing a new one. Many operators are on board with supporting loyal customers who want to buy a refurbished phone.
Vodafone has opened a Good Grade option for its refurbished phone range, which offers customers savings on new phone models.
A Good Grade device is in excellent working order but has some visible signs of use:
- Small scratches
- Dents
- Marks on the case and screen.
From now on, customers will be able to choose from a range of Good Grade devices, including iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and Samsung Galaxy S23.
Vodafone Group leads the telecommunications sector with refurbished phone incentives
Vodafone Group is a British multinational telecommunications company, with offices all around the world. It develops a range of leading products and services to connect its customers and work towards building the digital societies of the future.
The company prides itself on its networks keeping family, friends, businesses and governments connected, as it plays a vital role in keeping economies running and the functioning of critical sectors like education and healthcare. Currently, it is one of Europe’s biggest and fastest-growing 5G networks.
Naturally, there are some concerns when buying a refurbished phone, but customers have no reason to worry with Vodafone, because each phone purchased on Vodafone EVO comes with the UK’s only Lifetime Service Promise. At no extra cost, this provides customers with Battery Refresh and Lifetime Warranty.
In addition, customers can benefit from free battery health checks and replacements for up to three years with Battery Refresh, while the Lifetime Warranty covers device repairs against manufacturer faults, for as long as customers have a Pay Monthly Airtime Plan.
Vodafone and Glastonbury team up for camping comforts
Later this month, Glastonbury Festival will welcome 200,000 people to its fields in Somerset, England, for a weekend of music, camping and support for worthy causes.
In 2023, the festival reached a new sustainable milestone, in being powered entirely by renewable fuels and renewable energy using lower impact.
Vodafone has teamed up with Glastonbury to launch a new official Glastonbury 2024 app, packed with features, such as:
- Attendees can discover new features which will recommend artists performing at Glastonbury based on fans’ Spotify profiles
- Fans will be able to share their Line-up with friends and receive alerts for when their favourite artists overlap
- Users can pin their favourite stages, to save them time scrolling down every time to find their favourite acts
- Fans can set points to meet their friends, locate their tent and after the weekend is done, remember where they parked their car
- In-between sets, fans can scan trader information, from looking at the food map to getting supplies at camping shops and browsing official merchandise.
Vodafone’s Connect & Charge stand will also be at the event to help customers with a ‘technology retreat’, where they can charge their phones for free and connect to the Wifi.
