Microsoft Director joins Cloud & 5G LIVE speaker line up
Globally-recognised thought leader and AI influencer with a passion for artificial intelligence, Nick McQuire, is the latest to join the growing pool of speakers set to speak at Cloud & 5G LIVE on 11 and 12 October.
With more than 20 years of experience as a technology analyst, McQuire has been Director of Product Management in Microsoft’s Strategic Missions and Technologies division, the company’s business acceleration and scale up arm, since May 2022, after seven months as Director of AI and Innovation.
More industry leaders are set to join the Cloud & 5G LIVE line up - forming panels and leading keynote and fireside chats - in the run up to next month’s event.
McQuire will lead the Exploring the Future of Cloud Computing keynote on 12 October, day two of Cloud & 5G LIVE, which will be streamed to audiences worldwide via Brella at 10:30am BST.
He is the 15th speaker announced to speak across the two-day event.

Who is Microsoft’s Nick McQuire?
McQuire is a globally-recognised thought leader with a proven track record advising C-level executives, enterprise IT and corporate innovation strategists on emerging technologies and enterprise innovation.
His previous roles include a position as Chief of Research, Enterprise at market research firm CCS Insight and CEO of GEMA, a enterprise mobility managed service company. He was VP of IDC for three years following a stint as Senior Marketing Manager, Insight, Strategy and Planning at the BT Group.
His industry work has been acknowledged, with McQuire being named among the top technology analysts in the world by the Institute of Industry Analyst Relations and was named among the Top 5 Most Admired and Transformational Business Leaders in 2023 by CIO Times and CIO Media magazines. McQuire is a member of the CIO100 and Next CIO judging panels in the UK which recognise the most transformational CIOs and next generation of IT leaders each year.

Cloud & 5G LIVE started as a stage at Tech LIVE 2022, live from Tobacco Dock in London. But this year’s instalment marks the first fully-virtual incarnation of the event.
Five themes will guide attendees through this year’s bumper two-day event: The Future of Cloud Computing, The Future of 5G, Women in Cloud & 5G, Cloud & Infrastructure, 5G Network Transformation.
Day one will cover the vast and ever-evolving subject of 5G, followed by cloud and sustainability across day two.
