Equinix has earned a place on the 2024 Military Friendly Employers list
Military Friendly measures an organisation’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community

Equinix is one of the stars of the tech world to have been designated a coveted place on the 2024 Military Friendly Employers list.

The database was established in 2003 and is a US standard that measures an organisation’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for those in the military community, including spouses and schools for children, via a rules-based algorithm.

The recently announced 2024 list is compiled by ratings by service-disabled, veteran-owned recruitment business Viqtory and is comprised of more than 300 organisations — with in excess of 1,500 organisations competing for a designation.

Equinix supporting veteran career growth

With Equinix a firm believer in veterans’ dedication and team spirit among desirable attributes for its workforce, it has shared its commitment to welcoming them into their teams and supporting them as they transition to civilian, private sector roles. The multinational corporation hires veterans across all areas of its business and participates in programs outside the company that introduce career and training opportunities to veterans.

In honour of its veteran workforce, and in keeping with international commemorations of those lost in conflict, Equinix, along with Verizon, is hosting a LinkedIn Live event Guiding Principles: A Veterans’ Event on Leadership and Values on 14 November. The session will recognise veterans worldwide and share insights on leadership, integrity and the values shaped by their service.

Scott Crenshaw, EVP and GM of Digital Services at Equinix, said: “We’re pleased to honour the incredible dedication of veterans as they serve their countries and influence cultures globally. It’s a valuable opportunity to explore what makes an effective leader and the impact veterans can have on the technology industry.”
