The Galaxy Z Fold6: Bright, light and slim

The technology powering the Galaxy Z Fold6:

Main display

Users will enjoy peak brightness of 2,600nits, making the foldable screen a pleasure to read, under the covers or in broad daylight. The phone is also equipped with a Vision Booster to further enhance the visual experience by optimising colours and the contrast of images for different lighting environments.

Wing plate

The Galaxy Z Fold6’s smooth unfolding is only achieved through its wing plate. Moving between the display and hinge, the wing plate aligns the interior and protects the display from any mechanical damage.

Hinge

As slim devices need narrow hinge spaces, advanced hinge technology is vital for making foldables as thin as they are. The hinge is the central axis for folding and unfolding the phone and the Galaxy Z Fold6’s hinge is smaller than ever, yet equally as durable due to new and reinforced materials.

Front case

The Galaxy Z Fold6 may be light and thin, but no effort was spared on its resiliency. Made of Enhanced Armor Aluminum, the phone case safely encapsulates and protects the foldable’s internal components. The case has IP48-rated water resistance, so while not built for use in the shower, it can withstand wet weather.

The Galaxy Z Flip6: Hinge technology and smooth folding

Main display

The main feature of the phone - the display, so much more now than the black square shaped pixels from the models many Samsung manufacturers grew up with.

When users unfold the Flip6, they see a Dynamic AMOLED screen with top picture quality. Photos, videos, games and other content come to life in clear detail. The main display can resist external shocks and restore its original form when unfolded.

The Galaxy Z Flip6’s main display comes with resilient Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), a 60% increase in thickness.

Hinge

Samsung’s proprietary hinge technology gives the Flip6 a smooth folding experience. When folded, four drive shafts fold the display into the shape of a water droplet and keep the two screens together for a snug fit. The integrated hinge module features a symmetrical dual-rail structure that evenly distributes external shocks. The FlexMode lets users prop up the phone at any angle, with no need for a phone stand or tripod.

Hinge cover and case

Made from Enhanced Armor Aluminum, the Galaxy Z Flip’s hinge cover and case are resistant to scratches. Yet in a move reflecting Samsung’s concern for the environment, recycled materials have been used in the device.
