Key findings from the CodeClan global technology report
What is most immediately apparent is how much the US dominates the top 10 rankings. Eight of these spots are taken up by American cities, which is highly indicative of America’s market presence.
Interestingly, the geographical span of this list is highly limited, as the two remaining cities in the list (Bern and Zürich) are both in Switzerland.
Within the list, San Francisco has the highest average salary for technology jobs, and Zürich, Atlanta and Pointe-à-Pitre have the highest number of tech companies per capita.
On the other side of the spectrum, the 10 countries that rank the lowest within the top 100 are Dublin, London, Port Louis, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Athens, Johor Bahru and San Juan.
Despite neither of the cities ranking in the top 10, Tokyo and London are the two cities with the highest number of technology companies.
