Final speakers announced ahead of Cloud & 5G LIVE this week

The wait is almost over, Cloud & 5G LIVE - the inaugural iteration of Mobile Magazine and BizClik’s highly-anticipated extravaganza -  will be broadcast live worldwide later this week.

Get ready to delve into the future of telecommunications and technology as some of the leading minds in telco, cloud, 5G, AI, and sustainability take to the virtual stage to share their insights, facilitate conversations and inspire audiences.

The two-day event, streamed via Brella, will be beamed to audience members worldwide, with more than 1,000 expected to tune in to catch sessions from 30+ internationally-acclaimed speakers in sessions including interactive panels, engaging firesides and inspiring keynotes.

What is Cloud & 5G LIVE?

Cloud & 5G LIVE presents a unique opportunity for knowledge sharing, learning, and networking with industry professionals from all corners of the globe.

It started as a stage at Tech LIVE 2022, live from Tobacco Dock in London. But this year’s instalment marks the first fully-virtual incarnation of the event.

This week’s conference will be streamed via leading event and networking platform Brella, which allows attendees to network with fellow industry leaders from the world’s largest companies, forge new connections, seek new opportunities and develop both professionally and personally.

Keynotes, panels, firesides and live Q&A sessions with industry experts make up the majority of the event's agenda, with frequent networking breaks.

Cloud & 5G LIVE is split into five key themes: The Future of Cloud Computing, The Future of 5G, Women in Cloud & 5G, Cloud & Infrastructure, 5G Network Transformation.

Day one will cover the vast and ever-evolving subject of 5G, followed by cloud and sustainability across day two.

The final cohort of speakers set to speak at Cloud & 5G announced

With Cloud & 5G LIVE just days away, Mobile Magazine can proudly share news of the final speakers who will be joining the cohort of leaders already announced to be appearing. 

Brian Marrs, Senior Director of Energy & Carbon Removal at Microsoft

Marrs, Microsoft’s Senior Director of Energy & Carbon Removal is the first of these, and will join InfraPrime’s Susanna Kass for the Cloud and Clean Energy Tech Innovation and Sustainability Impact for the Future of Data Centre fireside which closes day one of Cloud & 5G LIVE. The session kicks off at 4:05pm BST on 11 October.

With more than 15 years of global commercial experience in the cloud and energy industries, Marrs drives efforts to execute Microsoft’s data centre energy and carbon negative strategies, and has led teams focused on energy infrastructure planning, energy supply agreements, utility partnerships, and most recently, carbon removal.

Christopher Marsh-Bourdon, Vice President of Global Financial Markets at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Marsh-Bourdon joined Oracle in September 2022 to head up the Global Financial Markets for the Product and Industries in Oracle Cloud and has spent the last decade working inside US Banks creating secure and risk-sensitive paths for them to adopt both private and public clouds. 

He will chair a keynote on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Strategy opening day two of Cloud & 5G LIVE at 10:05am BST on 12 October.

Karl Havard, Managing Director at Taiga Cloud

Sharing insights with a keynote titled Building Europe's Largest Gen AI Cloud, taking place at 11:30am BST on 12 October, Harvard boasts a long career with years of leadership in creating cloud-based enterprise solutions, offering a breadth of experience and knowledge to Taiga Cloud, a Northern Data Group Company. There, he leads the growth and expansion of Europe's first and largest Generative AI Cloud inside of Europe, which he will share expertise and knowledge on at Cloud & 5G LIVE. 

The cloud leader has previously worked for AWS and Google Cloud.

Melanie Benham, Solution Engineering Director Cloud Systems West Europe at Oracle

With a career in the IT industry spanning more than 11 years, Benham’s work has seen her cover a wide variety of roles. She started her journey with Oracle in Australia and is based now in London, leading a team of Cloud System Solution Engineers across West Europe 

She is passionate about the development of progressive programs that support and cultivate a brighter future. She will bring this passion to The Cloud & Sustainability Forum at 12:30pm BST on 12 October.

Isabelle Kemlin, Vice Chair of the Board at Swedish Data Center Industry Association

Joining Benham on for The Cloud & Sustainability Forum, Kemlin is active in the global data centre industry community with the focus of bringing efficiency on top of the agenda through sustainable solutions as well as increasing the interest and awareness of the digital infrastructure industry. Kemlin has been leading teams performing maintenance in critical environments for 15 years in industries including telecom, with the last six years embedded in the digital infrastructure industry, building up the data centre business for CBRE in the Nordics among other key roles.

Steven Carlini, Vice President of Innovation and Data Center at Schneider Electric

For the Promises and Failures of 5G fireside, Carlini will join Schneider Electric colleague Andres Vasquez at 4:05pm BST on 12 October. Carlini will apply his extensive global experience that he harnesses in leading the Energy Management BU’s Office of Innovation and Data Center Solutions - a team focused on spearheading Schneider’s data centre, digital energy, and residential businesses - at Cloud & 5G LIVE. He is a results-oriented leader who transforms ideas into products, solutions and systems, and has a sharp focus on innovation, AI, sustainability, 5G and 6G, cloud and edge computing among others.

Andres Vasquez, Global Segment Director at Schneider Electric

Appearing alongside aforementioned colleague Steven Carlini, Vasquez leads the global Network Edge & CSP segment strategy for Schneider Electric, focused on customer digital journeys and distributed cloud business transformation. He has more than two decades of experience in the telecommunications, IT, and data centre industries, leading missions critical, digital transformation and energy management initiatives in leadership roles at Schneider Electric, Avnet, Itautec, Inbev and IBM.
