Digital integrator and critical national infrastructure specialist Telent has announced a partnership with Ericsson.

The company will be offering Ericsson Enterprise Private 5G Solutions across the UK and Ireland. As a member of Ericsson’s 5-star partner programme, Telent is able to accelerate the implementation of enterprise 5G infrastructure for private 5G solutions.

Members of Ericsson’s Enterprise Wireless Partner Programme currently benefit from the best-in-class training, implementation guides and educational and demand-generation tools to help drive customer engagement and success.

Telent will now be able to become the default choice and trusted partner for any organisation’s secure wireless network infrastructure.

Gerard Donohue, Group CTO at Telent

“Our partnership in Ericsson’s Channel Partner Programme complements our existing business model at Telent and is a natural extension of our commitment to delivering cutting-edge connectivity solutions,” comments Gerard Donohue, Group CTO at Telent.

Enabling seamless connectivity

As an expert in wireless and radio technology, Telent is able to leverage its decades of wireless expertise to deliver precise and reliable solutions for mission-critical applications. Ranging from radio planning and design to deployment and managed services, Telent ensures robust connectivity and aims to empower organisations to unlock the full potential of private 5G networks.

With this in mind, Ericsson’s enterprise wireless solutions stand to enable organisations to innovate, operate and grow anywhere without constraints. Its NetCloud, Cradlepoint routers and Enterprise 5G solutions are able to provide the flexibility of public and private 5G, with the zero-trust security of simplified Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).

As a global leader in cloud-delivered 4G and 5G wireless network edge solutions, Ericsson’s Cradlepoint cellular routers deliver a pervasive, secure and software-defined Wireless WAN edge to connect people, places, and things anywhere.

Gerard adds: “By integrating Ericsson’s private 5G technology, combined with our expertise in wireless innovation and managed services, we are enhancing our ability to provide tailored solutions to our end-users. As a result of this partnership we can offer greater value to our customers and empower them to unlock new possibilities in mission critical operations.”

The telco’s 5G solutions for enterprises are able to provide the best coverage, mobility and reliability for the most challenging network environments worldwide. By enabling more seamless connectivity and real-time data exchange in these complex environments with Telent, businesses stand to be more important to optimise operations.

Improving customer experience

Telent has already successfully deployed cellular routers for Fire and Rescue Services mobilisation systems across the UK. These systems are designed to ensure rapid and reliable communication to support critical emergency response operations across a range of emergency services.

A key use case for this technology is to replace PSTN based back-up bearer solutions in station end and mobilisation systems ahead of the planned PSTN switch-off in early 2027.

Matt Cook, Head of Global Channels Enterprise Wireless Solutions, Ericsson

As enterprises increasingly rely on seamless and secure connectivity, Telent is poised to harness the full potential of 5G cellular technology and enhanced data capabilities. This ensures that their customers stay agile, innovative and ahead competitively in the digital age.

“Enterprises continue to increase the use of automation, improve safety, and invest in seamless connectivity to meet end-user expectations,” says Matt Cook, Head of Global Channels Enterprise Wireless Solutions, Ericsson.

“Ericsson has selected Telent as a member of its channel partner programme because of its world class technology, services, and support that will help organisations accelerate successful deployments and create a positive customer experience.”
