A recognised key industry leader, her values have been recognised with accolades such as Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2022, CIO of the Year Finalist and MVNO’s World Congress Woman of the Year Awards 2023.

Job To: Group CIO, Airtel Africa

Having worked in IT for 28 years, Barkhuizen is now in charge of Airtel's IT services in 14 African countries. Having been CIO of Vodacom for more than two years, his move to Airtel Barkhuizen will bring the company a wealth of experience and expertise spanning a variety of sectors including retail, financial services and telecommunications.
